    2ft x2ft ceiling tiles. I need stake points on both ends of my 2ft trim pieces. I’m using 1x4 for trim. So it would be 8 45 degree cuts per intersectional joint and 2ft from point to point on the individual pieces. Does this sound correct?

    Very nice and clear video! I'm building a chicken run and coop, 11 wide by 20 long, and the coop will make an ell at the far end of the run. I've built most of my 11 trusses, but I'm now ready to put the bracing on the joints. Two questions: 1. Whats the nice hand power nail(?) driver you are using to drive the nails? And what size nails? 2 or 2-1/2"? 2. You didn't brace both sides of the truss... should i brace both sides, or just one sude as your video seemed to indicate?

    why do we alternate the blocking in between the floor joists? From left to right the pattern alternates.

    Just looks so different not seeing any support in the center that would further support a "live load" of the structure. Id be worried in time the floor would sag in the middle. Im certainly the over engineer it kind of person.

    • @simplyeasydiy
      @simplyeasydiy 7 місяців тому

      I'm not trying to be rude with my comment so please don't take it that way but, span charts are available for everyone to use. You can google them and find one pretty easily. It has nothing to do with "over engineering". It has everything to do with wasting time and money that doesn't need to be used. However, with that being said, someone can put as much "support in the center" as they wish. I actually cover "live load psi calculations in the video at some point. Have a great day.

    I saw another video where he didn’t use the piece of wood on the bottom, he notched the 2x4’s instead. Not sure what the difference is, except less wood. Would love to know how it changes the math if you do it that way.

    I need to have the miter cut through the narrow part because that's how I want my frame to be. the width of the board to be they height or depth of the cradle frame for my art panel. The saw I got casts a shadow with the led light so that will help make it easier to target the correct spot.

    I'm an electrician , had my workshop built by Tuff Shed 20'x 30' feet , I decided to build an 8'x8' soundproof generator shed next to it, to back feed power to our home during power outages . I live in Florida and we typically lose power for one or two weeks after storms, and we lose power during thunderstorms also. Your videos are a great value to me and many others, thank you. Thinking of making a UA-cam video of my sound proof generator shed design and features.
